OPGW Cable

OPGW (Optical Power Ground Wire) is also called Optical Fiber Composite Overhead Ground Wire.

The overhead OPGW fiber optic cable of ZMS fiber optic cable manufacturer is placed in the ground of overhead high voltage transmission lines to form a fiber optic communication network on the transmission line.
This structure has the dual function of ground line and communication.
The wrapping of the metal wire makes the fiber optic ground wire more reliable, stable, and solid.
As the overhead ground wire and fiber optic cable are combined into a whole, it shortens the construction cycle and saves the construction cost compared with other ways of fiber optic cable.

OPGW Optical Cable Application

OPGW overhead fiber optic cable can adopt aluminum tube type, aluminum frame type, and stainless steel tube type structure respectively according to users' needs.
The optical fiber is sheathed in a tube made of stainless steel, and the tube is surrounded by aluminum-clad steel wire (AS wire) the outer layer is wrapped with aluminum alloy wire (AA wire) and wound into a cable.

  • Easy to maintain, and easy to solve the problem of line crossing, its mechanical characteristics can meet the large crossing of the line.

  • The outer layer of the OPGW cable in transmission line is metal armored, which does not affect the corrosion and degradation of high-voltage electricity.
