Recently, Germany industrial giant Siemens announced the Rogun hydroelectric power station in Tajikistan will provide two gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear.
The station is part of the Rogun dam project, hydropower station was about 335 meters high, will be the world's highest hydropower station. Siemens switchgear will be able to protect the power generation and transmission system, preventing overload and short circuit of hydropower station. Completion of switchgear equipment will be installed in 2018.
Mr power station is about 100 kilometers from Dushanbe, Tajikistan, located 300 meters above sea level, is the world's highest hydropower station. The hydropower capacity of 3600 MW, 6 sets of generators to provide electricity. When will generate electricity up to 13.3 billion-kilowatt per year, for the supply of electricity in most parts of Central Asia.
Siemens to provide gas-insulated switchgear voltage range 220-550KV and comes complete with online monitoring devices, enables remote diagnostics and self monitoring, service life of up to 50 years, almost no maintenance during the operation.
