The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from World Bank toward the cost of the Enhancement of the Capacity of Grid Substations.

And Transmission Lines for Rural Electrification under the Rural Electricity Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Project. Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB), is one of the implementing agencies of the project.

Intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for the procurement of Package-PGCB/W-04: Design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 132/33kV Substations at Nawabganj, Srinagar, Narail, Jhenaidaha, and Magura.

The Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB) now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers January 2011 (“Procurement Guidelines”).

And is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines.

The bidding Document's last selling date on December 29, 2015, at 16:00 Hours Local Time (GMT+6 hours). 

Bids must be delivered to the above-mentioned address on or before 11.00 Hours Local Time (GMT+6 hours) on December 30, 2015, and must be accompanied by a Bid Security of USD 500,000.00 (US Dollar Five hundred thousand) only or an equivalent amount in any freely convertible currency.

Bids will be opened at 11.05 Hours Local Time (GMT+6 hours) on December 30, 2015, at the head office of the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited.
